Our horses receive the highest quality hay and alfalfa, along with access to open pastures for free grazing. In addition to forage, they are fed nutrient-rich grain carefully balanced with essential vitamins and minerals. Many of our rescue horses also require specialized supplements or pain management support to address age-related or neglect-related needs.
And, of course, we never forget the healthy, low-sugar, quality treats they love! Your generosity helps us keep every horse comfortable, healthy, and happy, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
Animal Health Services
The health and comfort of our rescue animals are a top priority at Get Off My Back Sanctuary. Donations toward animal health services help cover essential veterinary care, routine wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, and emergency medical needs. Many of our horses arrive with prior neglect or age-related conditions that require ongoing medical attention.
Your support also provides farrier services, including regular hoof trimming and corrective care, which are vital to each animal’s comfort, mobility, and overall well-being. Consistent, professional care allows our horses and donkeys to live pain-free and thrive in their forever home.

Stable Maintenance

Your support makes ongoing barn upkeep possible, including stall repairs, footing maintenance, and general improvements that protect the comfort and safety of the animals who live here. From mending fences to strengthening shelters, every contribution helps create a peaceful, secure, and nurturing space where our animals can heal and live out their days in comfort.

Animal Rescue Fund
Every rescue begins with a second chance.
Many of the horses who come to Get Off My Back Sanctuary are pulled from kill pens. Places where their futures are measured in dollars and deadlines. These horses are often neglected, frightened, or simply unwanted, and without intervention, their lives would end far too soon.
Donations to our Animal Rescue Fund go directly toward securing a horse’s freedom by covering bail fees, purchase costs, and emergency transport out of kill pens. Your support allows us to act quickly when time is critical, saying “yes” to a horse who would otherwise have no one.
Once rescued, each animal is given a permanent, safe home where healing begins, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Your generosity is the first step in transforming fear into trust and despair into hope.
